Test Of Meta AI App

I have reservations about AI-generated videos, primarily because of concerns about potential scams and misuse. Nevertheless, I chose to experiment with this technology by generating a cat image for Les Épicuriens, even though I don't own a cat. My inspiration for Les Épicuriens also stems from a London store I frequented, recognized for its logo depicting a white terrier drinking whisky. My objective was to integrate innovative technology with traditional elements. The cat image was generated using the Meta AI app, which is built on Meta’s Llama 4 model. To begin, I downloaded the Meta AI app on my tablet and created an account. After completing the setup, I was able to generate content. According to a report from Tom's Guide, Meta AI's mobile app has seen a dramatic rise in daily users, and based on my experience creating several videos—one with a photo and another of myself climbing
I was genuinely impressed by the quality of the content it generated. However, I believe that Meta and similar companies should implement more robust safeguards to protect high-profile individuals and celebrities from misuse. There have been incidents involving fabricated representations of public figures, resulting in financial losses or more severe consequences for victims. Generative AI also presents broader risks, including the potential to disseminate misinformation or incite conflict.
Although I enjoyed creating lighthearted videos, such as cats drinking whisky, I urge technology companies to restrict the creation of content that could harm individuals or groups. For instance, generating images of religious figures or fabricating compromising scenarios can have serious repercussions. It is essential to limit these tools to positive, creative applications and to avoid producing images or videos that promote businesses. I strongly encourage Meta to implement safeguards, such as requiring verification for celebrities or high-profile personalities appearing in videos, to prevent scams and other harmful outcomes. While these requests may be substantial, the potential dangers are quite significant.
