Welcome to Les Epicuriens Book Club
About,
George R.R. Martin says wisely, " A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies, The man who never reads lives only one". We would like to introduce you to Les Epicuriens. What is it? You might not believe it, but it is another boring, intellectual book club. Not again, another boring book club. To this, you might be right, but also very wrong, as it is packed with a lot of cool stuff that is yet to be presented. For now, I will resume. It is a Book Club Group but with a spark of passion, lots of Spice...
Les Epicuriens was created to promote the power of literature and books from around the world. In the UK and the US, there is a National Reading Month, a month-long event that celebrates and promotes the joy of reading.
Les Epicuriens BookClub is due to be released in 2026. We can't wait to tell you more about "Les Epicuriens" very soon.
Yours Sincerely, Panos

Our Most Asked Question
What are Les Epicuriens ?
From day one, Les Epicuriens stands apart by blending book discussions with immersive experiences inspired by the worlds of sports, health, and professional growth, all in one club. Our members don't just read; they come together for active learning, lively debates, and activities that connect literature to real life. Imagine discussing a novel after a sunny group hike, or reading together before a friendly tennis match or a wellness workshop. Influenced by Between the Covers, the acclaimed BBC program, our club is for those who crave something fresher and more dynamic than the typical book circle. The project is still in its early stages and, for privacy and copyright reasons, we can't share more right now. You will have to wait for our Unveiling 2026 event. We can't wait to tell you more soon.
What is the goal of Les Epicuriens?
We believe that reading books makes you sexy, wise, and smart, and helps you in daily life. Our goal is to promote literature, books, culture, and sports in a disconnected, easygoing way. It is a place to meet others, share your reading, and make new friends who don't need to be your Facebook friends. It is also a place to connect with others and leave notifications from your devices behind for an hour or two to connect with the living. We have designed a smart concept, which is why we will need more than just arms to make Les Epicuriens possible. We are excited and can't wait to tell you more soon. If this club sparks your curiosity or you already have ideas or wishes for what you would love to see, we would love to hear from you. Please reach out and share what excites you most, or let us know if you would like to be kept in the loop as things develop.
In ancient Greece, the Epicureans were quite controversial. Will the group be controversial?
What if Epicurus himself had hosted a reading circle at your favourite café—would you pull up a chair? In ancient Greece, the Epicureans stirred debate and excitement. Today, Les Epicuriens turns that legacy into an invitation: join us for a joyful and modern take on loving books, lively conversation, and embracing life. No controversy here—just a club for those who savour literature, friendship, the living. The club atmosphere is welcoming and playful, full of warmth and curiosity, where everyone is encouraged to share ideas and try new things together. We want each member to feel at ease, free to contribute or simply enjoy, and always supported by a spirit of friendly adventure.
What is difficult is creating a book club when there are so many others out there.
I won't lie to you. It was not an easy task. It took us an hour a day to set up, and there is still a lot of work before launch. The book club still needs a name and other details. The hardest part was finding a killer idea. I had to press the reset button because nothing stood out. Now, the project has some new, quite original ideas. It is moving slowly but moving forward.
We'd love your help shaping Les Epicuriens. If you have a great idea for the club name or want to share thoughts about what this group could become, let us know! Your creativity and input are more than welcome as we build this together.
Does the Bookclub already have a name?
Yes, it does. It may be called Les Voltairiens after the French writer Voltaire. By promoting reading and literature, we are promoting enlightenment and a way out of the cavern, as in Plato's Book VII of The Republic. Birds do have wings; humans have books.
Is there a price yet for the forthcoming sessions? Will it be monthly or yearly? Will it be online only?
I can't share this information, as the project is still in development and in its final stages. It is likely to be both online and offline. All will be revealed at our Unveiling Event soon. You will be surprised by the pricing and the group's concept. If you are interested in staying updated or being the first to know when Les Epicuriens launches, please join our coming-soon mailing list or waitlist. Just let us know, and we will make sure you receive all the latest news and details as soon as they are available.
